Carolyn McSween Webb, age 81, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at the Presbyterian Home in Clinton.

She was born in Florence, and was a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. John McSween.

Ms. Webb attended Agnes Scott College, was a 1944 graduate of Converse College, and received a master of Christian Education from the PSCE in Richmond, Va.

Ms. Webb was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clinton, and was an Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C.

She enjoyed community service, gardening and sports, having won five medals at the 1988 Senior Games in Charlotte.

Ms. Webb was a devoted mother to her five children, Dan Webb, of Seattle, Wash., Sandy Webb, of Annapolis, Md., Carol Dishart, of Wexford, Pa., Anne Neely, of Charlotte, N.C., and Jean Bonnyman, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bill and Al McSween; and a sister, Jean McSween Donkle.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Clinton.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Laurens County Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 184, Laurens, SC 29360; or to Presbyterian Home of South C, 801 Musgrove St., Clinton, SC 29325.
