Clifton "Chip" Allen, 89, of Nabb, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at the Medical Center of Southern Indiana in Charlestown.

He was born May 12, 1912, in Clark County, the son of Fred and Pearl Woodward Allen.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, worked for Indiana Kentucky Electric and was a farmer. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Allen; two stepsons, Earl and Marvin Kemp of Nabb; two sisters, Glendon Abbott of New Washington and Mildred Beyl of Sellersburg; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grayson New Washington Funeral Home with burial in Barnes Cemetery near Nabb.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
