He was born on July 12, 1933, to Paul and Bess (Wells) Shirley in St. Joe, AR. He proudly served in the US Army. On August 5, 1955, he married Modene White in Angola, IN. Guffery worked at Crowel Carton Company for many years, then changed careers becoming self-employed as an automobile mechanic for and additional thirty-four years. Among other things Guffery enjoyed motorcycles and fishing most.
He was preceded in death by Wife, Modene Shirley, parents, Paul and Bess Shirley.
A committal service with military honors will follow in the Chapel of Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1490 Michigan Ave E, Battle Creek, MI 49068.
