Darlene Ann Potteiger Best, 86, of Spring, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2022. She was born on January 14, 1936 in Fostoria, Ohio to Theodore and Marcella (Rumschlag) Potteiger. Darlene was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City. She was an accountant in the oil & gas industry for many years. This loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will truly be missed.

In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Edward Kuhn, Earl Lee Matson, and John Ware Nagle; brothers, Terry and Robert Potteiger; sister, Carol Correll; and stepdaughter, Dorothy Flato.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond H. Best; children, Raeann Bates (husband, Randy A. Bates), Scott Michael Matson (wife, Mary Matson), and LeeAnn Matson Thomason (husband, Doyle Thomason); brothers, Ronnie, Johnnie, Charles, Pete and Floyd Potteiger; sisters, Kay Dallen and Debbie Kroeschel; grandchildren, Ryan A. Bates, Adaline Dre Thomason, Michael Matson, and Stephanie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Cooper Matson, and Elliott and Astrid Jackson; stepchildren, Shelley Best Riedel, Nicole Marie Best, Nancy Zinmeister, and Lucy Record; along with their families.

The family gathered at Greenlawn Memorial Park for private services.
