March 11, 2022...Message from Mike Milos, husband and love of Sue's life...
Today Sue lost her battle with Cancer and as Paul Harvey the great radio broadcaster's tagline goes now for the "Rest of the Story". On January 24th Sue was diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach/Esophagus cancer that had metastasized into her liver and spine.
Sue is a very proud lady and didn't want this illness posted or shared broadly. She wanted to live out her life on her terms. The family attempted for a period of time to manage her care at home. Sue was able to celebrate our son Jared's birthday on February 14 at home. Sue moved into the Mission Hospice House on February 24. She spent her last days at the Hospice house. Through sheer will she fought to make it to our 50th Wedding Anniversary on March 5. Her final decline started on March 6. We elected to have her put under sedation to manage the pain and provide a level of comfort for the remaining time left in her life.
I will miss my life partner desperately. She was the love of my life. I knew I would marry her on our first real date. I just had to figure out how to convince her of that. She leaves behind 3 children and spouses, 3 grandchildren and me.
She played many roles in this family, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She managed the Family finances including doing the Taxes every year. She kept up correspondence to family and a host of friends. She always made sure the Thank You notes were written for her and I. The biggest role that she enjoyed the most was that of "good-time grammie". She always made sure our three grandchildren were having fun and enjoying themselves.
There won't be any services immediately. I think a celebration of life this summer will be in order. I will post when this gets planned.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Mission Hospice House. https://www.missionhospice.org/services/mission-house/ Without the team at Mission Hospice House my family's journey would have been much tougher. Thanks for listening and reading this post.

And now it's appropriate to talk about it ....I don't know the right thing to say. I just know Sue Ellen Sue Hall Milos put everyone before herself for 70 years. While sitting with her, watching movies or reading her favorite book 'To Kill a Mockingbird' she didn't want money or miracles..she wanted time. Just a little more time with her family.
Heaven, for my Mom, was never a place or things. Her Heaven was the people she loved most. I'm so incredibly grateful to be able to count myself among them.
She asked me to 'write a book or something' about the experience. Hopefully she won't hold me to a deadline.
She left this world in the Mervyns robe she was hideously upset about almost losing in the shuffle of things but was elated when we found it.
She is survived by my brothers' and I, three beautiful grandchildren who were her heart, and my Father, her true love.
I leave the rest to my Dad.
