Nellie was born on 4 Feb, 1898 in Burdett, Kansas to James & Jennie Abbott. Nellie married George "Hutch" Hutchinson Cavitt in 1917. Nellie and George had 3 sons: Robert "Bob" Arthur Cavitt, George Lynn Cavitt, and James Reed Cavitt. Nellie was a classic southern lady she was strong, kind hearted, and determined. Hutch left her and the boys (along with his Mother) when he left to marry another woman. Nellie raised her 3 boys all by herself, along with carrying for her ex Mother in law for many years. Nellie volunteered at the local jail as well. Nellie married a childhood friend Jack Myler in 1945. They relocated to the state of Oregon. As a young child she wrote me letters describing the explosion of Mt. St. Helens in Washington in the 1980's. Nellie passed away on 9 Oct. 1982.
