Wife of William Thomas Smith (1850-1902). Mother of Essie Lora Finegan, Pearl Cain (#23012623), Ethel Iris McCracken and Sarah (Sallie) Ruthven. Daughter of John Franklin Coffman (1805-1884) and Elizabeth Irvin Cobb (1813-1888) of Hopkins Co, KY, and sister of Will H Coffman (# 46922135). Medora's mother (according to DNA evidence) was descended from Ambrose Cobbs (1603-1655)(#41180724), who emigrated from Kent, England to the vicinity of Jamestown, VA about 1635, less than 30 years after the first American colony was founded. Medora and William T. Smith were married in KY in 1870 or 1871 and had 10 children. Texas Death Index shows Medora's date of death as 8/30/30 in Bell County.
