Geneva D. Beam, 76, of 1859 E. Washington Avenue, apartment 54, died December 24, 1978 at Palomar Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 24, 1900 in Mills County, Iowa and had lived in Escondido for four years and in California for 26 years.
Surviving are her husband Thomas W., two sons, Collin H. Cowardin of Iowa, and Dwight L. Cowardin if Fremont; two daughters, Jean Palmquist of Stanton, Iowa, and Julie Janca of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one brother.
A service will be held at 19 a.m. December 28 at the McLeod Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Charles Pilgrim, pastor of the First Christian Church, of Escondido. Private internment is planned.
The family's suggested that those who care to do so, in lien of flowers, make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
