The surviving relatives are the widower, four daughters, Mrs. Louis Bader, Danville, Mrs. William Buelow of Decoria, Misses Clara and Carrie Schenk, at home; one son H.A. Schenk, Decoria, two brothers, Adam Lortz, Mankato, Philip Lortz, Dawson; one sister, Mrs. William Weber, Decoria.
Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 and from the German utheran Church in Decoria at 2 p.m., the Rev. Kirkenmeyer officiating. Interment will be made in the Decoria cemetery.
Mrs. Henry Schenk was born in Ohio, May 14, 1839, and at the time of her death was seventy six years, six months and twenty days old. Her maiden name was Margaret Lortz, and she was married to Henry Schenk in her native state in November 1865, being married 50 years last month. Mr. Schenk is now ninety years of age, and he and his wife were among the oldest settlers in blue Earth County, having located on their present farm forty eight years ago.
Funeral services at the house at 1 p.m. Wednesday, and at the German Lutheran Church in Decoria at 2:00 o'clock. Internment in Decoria Cemetery. MFP, 12/6/1915.
