Death From Pellagra at Monaghan Mill
“Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Spearman, wife of Mr. J.L. Spearman, died at their home in Donaldson street yesterday morning of pellagra after a long illness. She was 42 years of age, a native of Pickens county, a good Christian woman, a member of the Baptist Church at Monaghan mill. She will be missed very much in her hime and neighborhood. Besides her husband, she leaves a mother and father and several brothers and sisters and a host of friends. Her remains will be carried to her old home in Pickens county. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Mt. Carmel Baptist church. Interment in the church cemetery.” ****
