NEW PALESTINE – Aaron Scot Canada, age 53, of New Palestine, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022. Born on March 25, 1968, in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of James Canada and Bernice (Brown) Canada. He graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School in 1986 and received his bachelor's degree from ITT in Electronics in 1989. Scot married Jill Erny on May 10, 2008 in Jasper, Indiana.
He worked for various companies throughout his career and most recently worked at Salesforce in Indianapolis as a network engineer. Scot was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, who loved tailgating with friends. He also enjoyed going to the Indy 500 and traveling. He liked classic cars and classic music and he loved time spent with his family and friends, especially his son. Liam was the joy and devotion of his life.
Scot is survived by his loving wife, Jill Canada of New Palestine; son, Liam Scot Canada of New Palestine; siblings, Nathan Canada (Marsha) of Indianapolis and Roberta Plummer of Bedford; parents-in-law, Eugene and Norma Erny of Jasper; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bernice Canada; and brother-in-law, Marty Plummer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
