CHARLEY ENOCH RHYNE Born April 10th 1948, the family and loved ones of Charley Rhyne grievously announce his passing of natural causes on March 4th 2022. Preceeded in death by his parents Acie, and Nellie Rhyne, older brother Acie "Alvin" Rhyne and nephew Acie Jr. His sister in law Linda Rhyne, and niece Deanna Rhyne. Leaving behind Cathy Rhyne, his wife of 39 years, as well as his son Trevor Rhyne, and daughter Shannon Kahne. Brother Ivan Rhyne Sr., and baby brother Richard Rhyne and his wife Lou, all of Oroville. Sister Minnie and husband Bill Wisti of Duluth MN, as well as his adopted siblings Michelle and Luckie Rhyne of Chico CA. Charley (PaPa) truly loved his granddaughters Corrin, Gabby, and Brittany, and great-granddaughters Taylinn, Taliyah, and Briella. All of them he thought to be his little princess angels. Proudly serving in the US army in Vietnam, Charley returned to Oroville where he would start his family before relocating to Death Valley, where he found the love of his life, Cathy. After working there for three years as a sheriff and a mine worker he decided Oroville was where he wanted home to be. Returning home to Oroville he drove logging trucks and became a foster parent, especially proud of his foster daughter Claudia Ashley. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and boating on Lake Oroville and the After Bay. He loved whenever he could help anyone in need. However devoting his time to his wife, children, granddaughters and great granddaughters were his #1 passion. Charley treasured all of his family. It's always difficult when a love one is called to heaven. Charley is now with those whom he had loved and lost. Someday God will call us all, and Charley will be waiting with open arms to welcome us all home. Private services will be held at a later date.
