September 27, 2008 Merlin E. Clark, 73, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday. Born in Ladysmith, WI, he was a avionics specialist with the Air Force for 26 years. He received numerous decorations, medals and citations, including the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He is survived by his wife of CLOBFLAG CLOBFLAG46 years, Martha Maria (Hardt) Clark; a daughter, Pamela (David) Senatore; two grandchildren, Lauren-Marie and Nicholas; a special niece, Bettina Hardt (Michael) McElwee and their son, Alexander; three brothers, Vern, Willard, Warren; two sisters, Lenora and Vivian; and several nieces and nephews. Services with full military honors will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
