Born Jan. 1, 1871, Washington, Washington County, to Jacob S. and Johanne Sanders Bastian. Married to Hyrum Dudley Brian, April 28, 1898, Washington. Later solemnized, Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died June 4, 1910. Active, LDS Church, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors: sons, W. Rex, Salt Lake City; Dolan, Arthur, Reed, all Loa; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, sister, Niels, Weston, Idaho; Jacob Wilford, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mary Crawford, American Fork. Funeral Monday, 1 p.m., Loa LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Arthur Brian home Sunday evening.
