Nancy Rearden Peavy, age 91, entered into rest on March 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Camp Lewis Peavy, Sr.
Nancy was born in Greenwood, SC and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. She retired with 30 years as an educator with the Leon County School System. Nancy was an active member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include her children, Ginger Owens (Mike) of Panama City Beach, Tricia Wollett (Frank) of Dunedin, FL, Camp Lewis Peavy, Jr. of Tallahassee, Paul Peavy (Sherrie) of Tallahassee; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters Eddie Blackburn and Mary Whiddon both of Havana, FL; brother Pete Rearden (Judy) of Belleview, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her Visiting Angels.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomasville Road Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 3131 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
