Survivors include his wife Tribune, Kansas;, two daughters and their husbands of Tribune, Kansas, a daughter of Garden City, Kansas, and a daughter and husband of Sidney, Nebraska; a son of Tribune, Kansas;
a sister of Brandon, Florida, and a sister of Topeka, Kansas; a brother of Topeka, Kansas and a brother of Alma, Kansas, twelve grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roy Preston, two sisters; Glenda Rudisill, Rochelle Moreland, and one granddaughter.
Visitation was at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
Funeral service was held at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas.
Burial was in the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas.
