Kernersville, NC. Aksel "Andy" J.C. Anderson, Jr., 83, died Thursday July 29, 2004 at his home. He was born June 12, 1921 at Ft. Oglethorpe, GA the son of Aksel J.C. and Elizabeth Turner Anderson, Sr. Mr. Anderson severed in the US Army and also in the US Coast Guard. He received his A.S. degree in Engineering and work with American Can Company for thirty years, as a machinist, master mechanic, plant manager and finally International consultant. His hobby was boating, especially sail boats and shrimp boats. Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Autie Evelyn Brand Anderson on December 31, 2001.

Survivors include, son Aksel J.C. Anderson, III and wife Brenda of Savannah, GA; daughter Carol Jan Mayeux and husband Leroy of Slidell, LA, daughter Nora Elizabeth Anderson Johnson and husband Albert of Kernersville, NC, daughter Autie Gail Anderson of Walkertown, NC; son, John Randal Anderson of Savannah, GA; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the Hospice of your choice. Hubert C.
