John A. Huebel, age 59, passed away in Columbus, Texas on March 4, 2022. He was born to Albert and Jurline (Halfmann) Huebel on January 15, 1963 in Weimar, Texas.

John attended St. Anthony Catholic School and Columbus High School, graduating in 1981. He had several jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a machine operator at U-Tex for 6 years. He also did yard maintenance for many people over the years.

John enjoyed playing dominoes, going to the casino, and attending Church Mass. He will be most remembered for his love to visit with family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jurline Huebel.

John is survived by: brothers, Randy Huebel and wife Sylvia of Columbus, TX and Michael Huebel and wife Lorna of Columbus, TX; nieces, Amber Bryant and husband Rob, Melanie Zavala and husband Luis, Natalie Huebel and Danielle Escamilla; and nephew Aaron Huebel.

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Augustine Asante officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday at Henneke Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday.

Serving as pallbearers are Steven Vasek, Steven Venhgaus, Michael Venghaus, Robert Bryant and Luis Zavala.
