Known in show business as "Black Guzmán," he was a prominent Mexican professional wrestler known for winning the Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Middleweight Championship, and the NWA Texas Tag Team Titles. He is credited as the first man to do some head scissors variations, and he was a pioneer of aerial moves in lucha libre.
