Jacob J. Appelhanz, 54, Topeka, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at a local hospital.
Jacob was born April 3, 1950, in Topeka, the son of Theodore J. and Rosezella J. Best Appelhanz. He attended Seaman High School.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He was a quadriplegic since he was 17 years old as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jacob was dearly loved by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday by The Rev. John Rossiter at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Jacob will lie in state Thursday at the church from 5 to 8:30 p.m. with a parish
rosary at 7 p.m.
