Veteran Buried Tuesday
Tuesday at Slacum church in Chester township occurred the funeral of Byron Shadle, a Civil War veteran, whose death occurred Sunday morning as a result of dropsy, from which he had long been a sufferer. He had been a partial invalid for some time. He is survived by a wife and three children.

Dr. and Mrs. L. Mason attended the funeral Tuesday of their brother-in-law, Byron Shadle, in Chester township. The Rev. J. J. Coleman and wife of this city also attended and the funeral services were in charge of Rev. Coleman, who is pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church.
