Barbara Ruth Smith was born September 12, 1947 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Charles Mitchell and Alma Lucille Rowe Malicoat. She was united in marriage to Bert Wayne Smith who preceded her in death. She is survived by her three sons, daughter, honorary daughter, three sisters, brother, seven grandchildren; two honorary grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two honorary great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Mitchell and Pearl Pitman, and two brothers, Roger Dale Malicoat and Hubert Malicoat.
Barbara was retired from the Cookie Factory and Jackson Hewitt.
