She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1959. She worked in the Clerk of Court's Office in Wareham and at Decas Elementary School, from which she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emily Sampson; and sister, Nancy Christians of Florida. Surviving are her sister, Christine (Tina) Marino; and niece, Reneé Marino - both of California.
