Mary Moss is the daughter of Bartley H. and Eliza Jane Martin Moss. Mary married James Wallace Martin on September 8, 1889 in Hardeman County, Tennessee; they had two known daughters: Myrtle Martin and Linnie Eliza Martin. In her obituary it states that she had three children, I just found Myrtle and Linnie in the 1900 census living with grandparents, Moss.

Mrs. Mary Martin, wife of J. W. Martin, died at her husband's residence, corner of East Chester street and Mobile avenue, at 2:47 this morning, after a lingering illness. Deceased was formerly Miss Mary Moss, of Hickory Valley, Tenn., and was an estimable lady. She was 27 years of age, and her husband and three children survive her. The interment will probably take place at Hickory Valley.
