Gertrude Vivian Hall Adcock Harris

HENDERSON - Gertrude Hall Harris, 91, a former resident of Hargrove Street, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Maria Parham Medical Center. A native of Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Otis Henry and Vitula Harris Hall and was the widow of L. Thomas Harris.

She was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. George Williams.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Harris Cannady of Henderson, three grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Hall Adcock.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 at the J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will at the home of John and Elaine Cannady at 1759 Parker Lane, Henderson.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Christian Church, c/o Mrs. Ruth Tharrington, 6004 N.C. 39 South, Henderson, N.C. 27537.

Arrangements are by the J.M. White Funeral Home.
