Caroline attended school at the Belanger Settlement.
On April 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Cadotte at St. Anthony's Church in the Frank Belanger Settlement and to this marriage 6 Children were born.
She started out working as a practical nurse for the Pureair Sanatorium in Bayfield. Throughout the years she also held the position of cook for the Madeline Island Club House and Poncho's Supper Club. Of the many jobs Caroline has done there was none that gave her more joy than that of being known as the "World's Greatest Babysitter" to her many grandchildren. Her many hobbies included doing arts & crafts with the Northern Lights Activity Department, watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, playing bingo, cribbage and 6-5-4. She also loved to read
Caroline was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Bayfield and in 2016 was given the honor of Eldest Elder of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her Parents, 7 Siblings, Son-in-law Ron Paffel and Granddaughter Elizabeth "Biz" Cadotte
