James Benjamin "Ben" Reed, 70, died February 25, 2022.

A native of Dooly County, GA, he was a son of the late James Anderson and Mary Langston Reed.

Ben resided in Oconee County for many years and was an avid supporter of high school sports – a love of his growing up. Over the years he and his wife, Kay, helped provide meals for many of those sports teams. This passion for cooking and catering led to them founding "Kay's Catering" five years ago, following Ben's retirement from Life of Georgia Insurance Company.
