"Mrs. Pauline G. Craig, 92, of Hamilton Township, Stroudsburg, formerly of Kunkletown, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Twp., with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Archie D. Craig, who passed away in 1995.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Oliver F. and Jane (Behler) Shoenberger.
She was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville.
Prior to her illness, she loved embroidering quilt blocks. She spent many hours with her friend, Frances Borger and Marylou Kocher, working on the quilts and other crafts.
We have been blessed with the presence of Pauline in our lives. She will be deeply missed by a daughter Sylvia, wife of William Gethen of Brodheadsville; and four sons, Archie O., and his wife, Karen, and Donald A., and his wife, Shirley, both of Kunkletown, Gerald R. of Lehighton and Dale R., and his wife, Thelma, of Souderton. She was the loving and gentle grandmother to Lynn Davis, Lori Hagerman, Terri Krome, Scott Craig, Allen Gethen, Sharon Lersch and Lori Baines; and her 11 great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her siblings and was also preceded in death by two daughters, Marie J. Altemose and Janet A. Craig; and a son, Carl D.
Service: Funeral services 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Rt. 209, Gilbert, with the Rev. Brian Holben officiating. Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 500 Church Rd., Palmerton, Pa. 18071. www.gowerfuneralhome.com."
