Born April 20, 1940 in Ravencliff, he was the son of the late Lee Earnest and Velva Ethel Allen Eller.
Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army, and he was a retried coal miner. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, sitting on his porch, watching his hummingbirds feed, and feeding the many animals that came in the area around his home.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Eller, and his sister Sherry Eller Brown Snuffer.
Those left to cherish his memory include two children Kathryn Sue Eller Baird, Patrick Edgar Eller, Two step-children Newton Andy Wallen III, and Tommie Jo Wallen Cook. His sister Linda Carol Eller Tolliver, and his brother Lee Edward "Eddie" Eller, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless extended family and friends
