"Otha Mae McBride, 89, Gladstone, died March 4, 1988, at Spelman Memorial Hospital. She was born in Summersville, Mo., and lived in this area for 25 years. Mrs. McBride was a member of the North Oak Chapel Assembly of God and the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include five sons, Hershell McBride of Kansas City, Cecil McBride of Deepwater, Mo., James McBride of Atchison, Kan., Bill McBride of Paxton, Ill., and John McBride of Dallas; five daughters, Mary Bingham of Kansas City, Blanch Kitts of Bluefield, W. Va., Marjorie Hudley of San Bernardino, Calif., Alice Phair of North Andover, Mass., and Teresa Calahand of Lawrence, Mass.; two sisters, Nellie Booker of St Louis and Blanche Everton of Gold Beach, Ore.; 41 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, March 5, 1988
