Estella R. Guliford, age 74, passed away February 18th, 2022, at Methodist Hospital. Estella was born to Helen Inez Brown and Peter Ferguson in Fulton, Missouri on September 25th, 1947. She was the oldest of three daughters. As a young child, she moved to Omaha with her mother where she attended Long and Howard Kennedy Elementary Schools. Later, as a young lady, Estella started a family with her first husband. Together, they shared children, Theresa, James Jr., Sherri, and Troy Travis. Estella enrolled in a business college and received a certificate of completion during this time. She subsequently retired from Consolidated Freights after working in the trucking industry for 30 years. Estella met and married Alonzo Guliford, on August 8th, 1981 in Omaha, Nebraska. Estella and Alonzo were married for 40 wonderful years. He was her best friend and a loving husband to her. Throughout the years, Estella and Alonzo enjoyed playing golf and softball and taking the family to the skating rink together. Estella also loved playing cards with friends, bowling, singing in the gospel choir and spending time with her family. Estella was a spiritual woman, with strong faith in God. She was steadfast in her faith and a devout member of the Salem Baptist Church. Friends and family will miss gatherings around her kitchen table, her laugh, going out to eat with her and the way she provided life lessons to all who came to her for advice. Estella will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
