WOOLARD Lewis F., 81, of Port Richey, FL died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 in New Port Richey, FL He had suffered from poor health for several years. He was bom September 6, 1921 in Washington, NC, a son of the late Claude Woolard and Isabella Singleton Woolard. He was a retired Sgt. First Class with 22 years of service in the United States Army. During his last three years of service, he acted as a National Guard advisor in Wilmington, DE. He later retired from National Linen Service, and in 1988 moved to Florida where he resided until his death. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 25 year member of the Kedive Shrine Temple in Virginia Beach, FA. He was also a lifetime member of the Rosemary Church of Christ in Washington, NC. Mr. Woolard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia Etta Wallace Woolard; two daughters, Judy D. Cox and spouse Robert, of King-wood, WV and E. Annette Wollard-Moran of Gloucester, VA; two grandsons, Robert F. Cox III and spouse, Jennifer of Fairmont WV and Jonathan A. Moran of Gloucester, VA; and one brother, Earl A. Woolard of Washington, NC. He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Wayland Keith and Lewis F. Woolard, Jr.; three brothers; and two sisters. Graveside services were conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum on Saturday, May 24, 2003 with the Rev. Michael Arga-brite officiating. Entombment was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Kingwood, WV. Military rites were accorded by Preston County VFW Posts. The family request that expressions of Sympathy be directed to the Tampa Shriner's Hospita, 12502 North Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9499.
