Mrs. Dorothy Louise Jacks Ayers, 90, passed away early Sunday morning, December 30, 2007, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center.
A native of Nicollett, Minnesota, she had lived in Santee, California for many years before moving to Waycross five years ago. Mrs. Ayers was a housewife and was of the Protestant faith. She was a great navy wife and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Mrs. Ayers was a daughter of the late Dorsey Jerrold & Ella Sarah Currier Jacks and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moore Ayers. She was also preceded in death by both of her daughters, Susan Marie Ayers and Barbara Louise Ayers.
Survivors include 4 grandchildren, Mikal Kartvedt, Scott Ayers Kartvedt, Lisa King Kartvedt and Kristin Louise Wolf; 6 great grandchildren, Wyatt Kartvedt, Nicholas Kartvedt, Jacob Wolf, Ethan Wolf, Lindsey Kartvedt and Noelle Kartvedt.
Memorialization is by cremation.
Mrs. Ayers cremains will be interred at Fort Rosecrans in Point Loma, CA.
