Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa, with full Military Honors.
Darold Allen King was born May 13, 1946, in Tipton, the son of Norman and Virginia (Conway) King. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1964. He married Karen Maurer on September 3, 1966, in Tipton. He proudly served 26 years in the military, six years in the U.S. Army Reserve and 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1991. Karen preceded him in death on March 27, 2014. He and Karen enjoyed traveling around the country in their motorhome to various dirt, late model and modified races. Above all, he loved the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Brian (Jennifer) King and Jeffery (Teresa) King, both of Tipton; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Donald King and one nephew, Kevin King.
