Dorothy Louise Frazier passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Cortez, Colo. after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 23, 1925 to Carl and Adelia Crites in Tyrone, Okla.
She grew up in eastern Colorado and moved to Cortez in 1939. During part of WWII, Dorothy worked in a parachute factory in Los Angeles.

She met her future husband, Zane Frazier, in Cortez and they were married in 1943. After living several years in the Cortez area, she moved to northern California, where her husband was employed in the logging industry for many years. They returned to Cortez in 1970 to begin a life of ranching and farming. Dorothy was always an integral part of the family business. Wherever Dorothy lived, she was continually looking for ways to serve others. She was a noble lady, a devoted wife and mother, and highly respected by everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. After a series of mini strokes in 2007, her health began to fail. She never complained about her own circumstances, but continued to worry about taking care of others. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Church of the Nazarene for most of her life. She was a longtime member of the Gideons Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers; and a daughter, Carolyn Tryon.

Surviving are her husband, Zane Frazier of Cortez; daughter, Evie Tidwell of Pine Haven, Wyo.; son-in-law, Ron Tryon of Cortez; son, Sam Frazier of Cortez; daughter, Marilyn Harrington of Cortez; son, David Frazier of Brighton, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dorothy Louise Frazier, a longtime resident of Cortez will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 3 at the Cortez Church of the Nazarene, 514 N. Chestnut St. Pastor Anthony Maes will officiate.
