The daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Dessie Lee (Copp) Baker, she was born August 25, 1935 at the homeplace NW of Guymon. Ann attended Guymon schools, graduating with the Class of 1953. She then attended Colorado Women's College in Denver, and the University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating with a degree in interior design. Ann worked in interior design and was a real estate agent. She made her home in Irvine, California for many years, before retiring in Wichita.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Dessie Baker, sister, Doris Nelson, brother, Richard Max Baker, and a niece, Debora Nelson.
