Mrs. Janet Throneberry Hopson, age 64 of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Mrs. Hopson was born in Manchester, TN, to the late Aaron and Lena West Throneberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Mitchell Keith Throneberry.

Mrs. Hopson was a 46 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Murfreesboro #363 and served as Worthy Grand Matron in 2003. She was a majority member of Henry Lee Fox #85 Rainbow Assembly in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Hobson was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church, where she served as the director of music and organist. She had dual church membership at Holy Trinity Community Church in Nashville, TN.

Mrs. Hopson retired as a registered nurse with Middle Tennessee Medical Center for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1998. She was a 1968 graduate of Central High School in Murfreesboro, TN. She graduated St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1971 with a diploma and MTSU School of Nursing in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science.

Mrs. Hopson is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert J. Hopson, and son, Collier T. Hopson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Central Christian Church, Murfreesboro, TN. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
