William Wesley Hale, Jr., 53, of Big Spring died Wednesday February 9, 2022.

Visitation will be 9 AM until 9 PM Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel burial will be at Edens-Tatum Cemetery.

William was born on October 28, 1968 in Griffin, Georgia to Barbara and William Hale, Sr.

He has been in Big Spring for 40 years coming from Georgia.

He married Toma Edens on January 14, 1991 in Big Spring.

William was also known as Will or Wes, but most importantly he was called "Happy" by his grandkids.

William had been working in the oilfield since he was 14 years old. He worked for Robinson for 37 years.

He loved fishing, being a mechanic, and his bird. But most of all he loved his grandchildren.

William is survived by his wife: Toma Hale of Big Spring; 3 children: Kevin Hale (Brooklyn) of Big Spring, Chris Hale (Amanda) of Big Spring, & Shayna Sherman (Ramerio) of Big Spring; 1 step-son: Bobby Barber (Emily) of Big Spring; his mother: Barbara Hale of Big Spring; 1 sister: Connie Guerra (Alejandro) of Big Spring; 1 brother: Ron Hale (Ann) of big Spring; 9 grandchildren: Jayden, Jettley, Zoey, Chole, Logan, R'Lonie, Alex, Brian, & Adam; 5 nieces & nephews: Heather, Ashley, Madeline, Nichole, & Little Ron; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his father: William Wesley Hale, Sr.

Pallbearers will be frankie Pennington, Mikey DeAx, Travis Garrard, Ramerio Mier, Paul Silva, Lee Alvarado, Jarde Parnell, & Wes Longoria.
