N. Helen Cobb, 82, of Kirbyville, died Tuesday August 14 at Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson.
She was born Oct. 5, 1918 in Mildred, Mo., the daughter of Edwin and Nellie McCann. She attended Pleasant Hill School and Forsyth High School.
She married Obie Cobb on May 4, 1942, in Harrison, Ark. They were married for 59 years. She was a lifelong resident of Taney County, and a member of the Hilltop of God in Kirbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Nellie McCann, and four brothers, Emmett, Ben, Hadley and Edwin.
Survivors include her husband Obie, of the home, a daughter Rita Housman of Kirbyville; two sons, Frank Hall of Kirbyville and Jack Cobb of Eldon; two sisters, Frances Brown of Taneyville and Viola Hicks of Forsyth; as well as nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Aug. 18 at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Fausett officiating. Burial followed at Snapp Cemetery in Forsyth.
