She was married on November 30, 1797, Groton, Massachusetts, to Jonas Jewett and moved with him to Solon, Maine in 1798 to start their family.
Mary Jewett died on September 27, 1856, presumably in Solon, Maine where she had lived since 1798. In the 1850 Census she appears to be living with her son Sewall Jewett in Solon, but the handwriting on that Census form does not make this abundantly clear. There is no known marker for her grave, but given the probability of her presence in Solon in 1850 and the fact that Sewall is also buried there, it is very probable that she also rests somewhere in the same cemetery as her husband Jonas Jewett.
