Alfredo J. Afanador, 76, of 1916 Ninth st., died Saturday at the Garden Court Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dunns Funeral Home.
A native of Bound Brook, N.J., Mr. Afanador lived in Des Moines since 1945 and was an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the Consistory and the Dutch Reformed Church.
Surviving are his wife, Caroline; three sisters, Mrs. Nievesita Tigges, St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Anita Gossard, Frankfort, Ind., and Mrs. Isbel Cox, Greentown, Ind.; two brothers, Edward, Tipton, Ind., and Carlos, Centerville, Ohio, and his stepmother, Mrs. Parthena Afanador, Frankfort, Ind.
