Garth Kay Turner, 76, of Taylorsville, UT passed away February 7, 2022, after a short illness.

He was born November 20, 1945, in Salt Lake City, UT to John Wesley and Myrle Frew Turner. He was the youngest of three boys, and the most devoted big brother to his younger sister.

He graduated from Jordan High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had many different jobs throughout his life, but the common thread through them all was his love of meeting and interacting with people.

Garth married Dawnetta Hollaway on June 6, 1969. They later divorced. He married Ethel Jeannine Jenkins on November 10, 1999.

Garth is survived by his wife, Jeannine; stepdaughters Stephanie, Melissa, Kristy, and Brandy; brother Wayne (JoAnn) Turner; sister Katharine (Larry) Memmott; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents John and Myrle, brother Russell Turner and sister-in-law Joan Turner.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Wilson for his dedication and care in Garth's final days.

A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 11:00 am-12:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Bluffdale City Cemetery, 14229 S. Redwood Rd., Bluffdale, UT.
