Robert Condreay, of La Habra, CA, 93, died peacefully in the care of his son and daughter-in-law on May 20, 2021. Bob was born in St. Edward, NE and proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was known throughout the area for his woodworking skills, which he developed following his retirement from Safeway grocery stores, after a career spanning nearly 50 years. You can see the evidence of his handy work in many lawns sporting the US flags he created, or the individualized school signs, holiday-themed ornaments, and flowers. Many people stopped during the day while he was working in the garage to share part of their day. He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Anna Hurley Condreay, and daughter Janice (Ken) Clark. He leaves behind a daughter, Jennifer Condreay, son Scott (Shirley), 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and neighbors who cared for him like family. His fun personality, impish grin, sharp wit, and generous spirit will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will take place in July.
