He was an explosives expert for Austin Powder Company since 1985 and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Alvord. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Henry Peyton, Sr., Billy George Peyton, and Guenn Lewis Peyton; and sister, Donna Nickerson. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Bobbie Peyton of Alvord; two daughters, Tammy Peyton and husband, Dennis Barton of Alvord, Kim Largent and husband, Audie of Azle; son, Tony Peyton and wife, Lisa of Alvord; two grandsons, Lee Wayne Peyton Barton and Justin Barton; three granddaughters, Laci, Megganne, and Aarrialle Postell; two brothers, Paul and Roy Peyton; and two sisters, Linda Sue Worley ad Margie Peyton.
