CL Buck was born on February 3, 1927 in Sunnyside, a community just outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He left this life on February 6, 2022 at the age of 95. CL enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 & served during World War II reaching the level of Sargent. He was stationed in Japan near the end of the war & was honorably discharged due to the reduction in force shortly after the war ended.

When he returned home, he moved to Houston where he worked for his brother Clyde delivering produce. He eventually went to work for the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for over 30 years. Upon retiring from the Post Office CL & his wife, Betty, worked for our church, Salem Lutheran in Tomball for several years. When he retired from working at the church, he was officially retired.

CL enjoyed working in his yard & had a wonderful garden every year and always shared the fruit of his labor with family & friends. He was an excellent craftsman & built several homes during his life. This gift ran in the Buck family. He shared his love of this with his sons, family & friends teaching them what he knew. CL had a constant smile that blessed all who knew him or met him for the first time.

CL was preceded in death by his parents Dow Lorenzo Buck & Lou Jane Orrell Buck; his brothers Hurl, Clyde, Elzie, Hurfus, Orel, & Murl; sisters Irene, Leona, Tressie, Cleva, Olene, & Marjorie. He was also preceded in death by his son, Terry Wayne Buck & the love of his life, Betty Joyce Williams Buck.

CL leaves behind daughter Sheryl Buck Canik & husband John, daughter-in-law Carol Buck, son Michael Buck & wife Theresa; 5 Grandchildren; Heather Brame Michael, Christopher Buck & wife Brandy, Ryan Buck & wife Lindsey, Earnest Dow Buck, M.
