One of the things about the Saginaw cemetery that I found odd, ironic or interesting:

I had a beauty shop in Joplin for about 18 years and one of the girls that worked for me I had found out that her mother's maiden name was Busick. The name Busick didn't ring any bells for me at all.

One year on memorial day, my mother didn't feel well enough (I think that was the year she had her hip surgery) to go with me to take flowers to the cemeteries. This girl, Becky, went with me since her grandmother was also buried in Saginaw... and she said she hadn't visited it for quite some time.

Lo and behold, all those years as a kid that I had went to that cemetery with my Crowder grandparents (my grandma's maiden name was Comstock), the Busick family was buried in the next row from the Comstocks. And to top it off, one of those Busicks married into the Hamptons. The very Hamptons that my great aunt Mildred Comstock had married into.

As they say, "It's a small world after all..."
