Elna Ruby Jackson Garrett, age 88, passed away on February 2, 2022, in Nephi, Utah. She was born January 18, 1934 to Charles Theo Jackson and Eva Mae Monroe Jackson in Moroni, Utah. She was the middle child of five daughters. She grew up and attended schools in Moroni. She married James M. Garrett on March 11, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. They made their home in Nephi, Utah. Together they had three children, Barbara, Michael, and Teresa.

During the summer months you could always find her on her porch swing where many friends and neighbors would stop by to chat. She spent countless hours in her beautifully manicured yard. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially on trips to Disneyland and Hawaii.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Swenson and Teresa (Randy) Peters; her grandchildren, Kholby Harmon, Russell Kersey, Michelle Kersey, and Tyler Harmon. Also survived by her sisters, Phyllis Belliston, LaWona Madsen, and Roene (Bob) Olsen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son, Michael; sister, Norma Madsen; brothers-in-law, Earl Madsen and Gordon Belliston; son-in-law, Robert Swenson; and her parents.

A special thank you to Dr. Mark Oveson, Home Health, and the CVMC Staff.

There will be a graveside service at Vine Bluff Cemetery on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
