Peter Podunavac, age 94, of West Mifflin, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in UPMC Presbyterian. Born in Duquesne on August 8, 1927, he was the son of the late Sava and Theresa (Bedics) Podunavac. He was employed by Firth-Sterling Stainless Steel Company prior to their closing; and in general maintenance at Fisher Body. Pete was a member of Teutonia Mannerchor Club, Duquesne. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during World War II.

Peter is survived by his wife Joan E. Podunavac, DeLand, FL; his son, Brian Podunavac of Daytona, FL; grandchildren, Jesse and Jasmine; stepsons, William (Gene) Cavins and Wayne (Luis) Cavins of Florida; two step grandchildren Dr. Zachary (Erica) Cavins and Suzannah (Nicholas) Seibert and 5 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; brother Robert Podunavac and caregiver, Elaine Bixler of West Mifflin. There was no visitation. Private burial was held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 11 Feb 2022, at 11:00 o'clock.
