WARREN, Chester W. Age 84, of Connersville, Indiana, formerly of Oxford, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. He was born December 4, 1921 in Butler County, Ohio, the son of LeRoy and Margaret (Poston) Warren. He was a 1942 graduate of Stewart High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he learned commercial electronics. On July 6, 1969 he married Martha Mize Gibson and she preceded him in death. Chester was a long time employee of the Oxford Hardware Store and later at Sears doing home appliance repair.
Chester is survived by his three children, Richard Warren of Middletown, Steve Warren of Hamilton and Karen Beamon and husband William also of Hamilton; five stepchildren, James L. Gibson and wife Rena, Richard C. Gibson and wife Cynthia, Phyllis (Gibson) McCall, Deborah (Gibson) Alexander and husband Robert, Chester L. Gibson and wife Becky; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Ohio.
