Clare Zell Butts Walker, of Pearl, gained her wings and went to her Heavenly home on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the age of 84.
Clare was born October 25, 1937, in Panola County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Thomas Everett Durham and Thelma Leona Fivecoat Durham. She enjoyed a lengthy career with the Mississippi State Hospital as a medical secretary and clerk.
Survivors include her husband; a son); a daughter; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters;a brother; a daughter-in-law; and a brother-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Rose Anthony; son, Dennis Butts; her children's father, Wilbur Butts; sister, Ina Chandler; brothers, Harrison Durham, and Charles Durham; grandchild, Anthony Meadows; and great-grandchild, Tiffany Butts.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral Services are 11:00am, Friday, February 4, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
